SIMOS INSOURCING SOLUTIONS WEBSITE REDESIGN

SIMOS Insourcing Solutions provides its customers with a customized strategic labor solutions, whether you’re in distribution, fulfillment, reverse logistics or manufacturing. Their goal is to provide workforce solutions that deliver reduced cost, budget certainty and increased productivity while meeting the customer’s quality standards.

DEVELOPMENT

At Staff Management, we developed an interactive, smooth front-end experience for SIMOS Insourcing Solutions , which included creating a brand new website. Were branded the company’s digital presence and built a strategic user experience.

To save on overall cost and reduce development time, we used the Avada WordPress theme, which provided out-of-the-box features such as customizable dynamic page transitions and responsive layouts. The design contains a lot of imagery, and as such we optimized images to prevent large file sizes and slower experience.

DESIGN

I produced  desktop layouts in Adobe XD for each page for tablet and mobile devices. In order to provide an optimal mobile experience, a variety of WordPress plugins were used to reduce the amount of animation, as well as provide a slight change to the layouts.

Analytics and research were conducted regarding the previous SIMOS site and users’ time on page. We concluded that users wanted more content, but didn’t want to be overwhelmed by lengthy and narratively complex webpages. As such, our team completely rebuilt the site branding and communication strategies to meet these needs. We focused on short but powerful content and a muted visual language, including a color pallet that focused on two bright hues. These colors helped strengthen the visual significance of   important content. We also utilized black and white photography as users reacted positively to these visuals  during our initial interviews.

CONCLUSION

We plan to closely track the site’s progress to see how users adopt the new SIMOS experience. We hope to use this data to make new and impactful design and experience changes in future iterations.
